The 4h Annual Poetry Downtown Festival honors Edgar Allan Poe from September 27 - 29, 2024!

Poetry Downtown is more then only poetry. It’s also a festival with a strong gastronomy element as we eat during Poetry Downtown all kind of local dishes.

September 27

7.30-8.00 am Breakfast English Muffin
Served with medium brew coffee to energize our festival.
12.00-1:00 pm Lunch BCC
A orginal Boston Clam Chowder soup with potato chips and salad
6.00-8.00 pm Dinner Old Students Dinner
Great American dishes that require limited preparation and cooking time

September 28

7.30 – 8.00 am Breakfast Johnnycakes
A Rhode Island classic, thick and crunchy pancakes made from whitecap flint corn served with butter.
12.00 – 12.30 pm Lunch Corned Beef and Cabbage
With this dish – a staple in Irish-American cuisine – we honor the first settlers of the Bronx.
6.30 – 7.00 pm Dinner Great Gumbo
Taste this European, African and Native American fusion of delicious shellfish in dark roux

September 29

7.30 – 8.00 am Breakfast The Four Elements
This wild rice, sweet potato, and cornmeal mush will blow your mind away
2.00 – 12.30 pm Lunch Conductors Delight
All-you-can-snack-buffet
6.00 – 7.00 pm Dinner Old Bay Coddies
This delicacy is made from a mixture of potatoes, eggs, onions, and cod fish finished with Old Bay Seasoning.
